In what could have been an unexpected event, Jeff Hardy, after a few months of retiring is now wrestling at TNA. Although there have been lots of internet rumors that Jeff Hardy will be at the backstage on the first TNA Monday Night, his appearance during the Asylum Match was shocking to say the least. It should be noted that last night was the first night that WWE and TNA will be vying for viewership of wrestling fans. Who do you think will win the rating? It’s hard to say at this point but what i’m thinking right now is that it looks like TNA really wants to go head to head with Monday Night Raw. Can you imagine, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, and Jeff Hardy now at TNA? or will it just be a watered- down version of RAW?
And now it can be told, it seems that Jeff Hardy will not be able to go back at WWE even if he wants to, according to Bleacher Report “According to Matt Hardy on the Hardy Show, Jeff failed a drug test about two weeks before he and CM Punk had their match at Summerslam, which gave Jeff his third strike in the WWE. The WWE didn’t release Hardy at the time because he was going to be leaving anyway, so there was no reason to do so.
For those of you who don’t know, if one has their third strike in the WWE you must be released from the company and stay unemployeed by them for at least 1 year according to the WWE’s Wellness Policy.
To put it in a nutshell, once he signed back with the WWE he’d be released because of the Wellness Policy rules. Three strikes you’re out, of course.”
